Not the best picture of me since I decided to go without makeup for much of our vacation.  We changed to a new place after the 2nd night at the other one, since we just weren't happy with it.  This one was much nicer!

Hilton Head Island 2013 1st/2nd Day

We planned a last-minute (we literally made the reservation one day before leaving) to Hilton Head.  This has become our favorite vacation spot because it is so laid-back and family-friendly. 

We headed to the beach as soon as we got there.

We had fun for a couple of hours at the beach, but then it started raining too hard to stay :-(

We saw an alligator on the grounds where we are staying, but we couldn't stop to take a picture of it up close because there were cars behind us.

I talked Jack into trying calamari by telling him he could have his M&Ms when we got back to our townhouse.  He said he liked it, but this picture doesn't say so.
