Easter Egg Hunt at Church

Jack found an egg that looked like a tiger.  He was thrilled and kept showing everyone.

Enjoying a cookie with icing.

I think Audrey was planning out which eggs she would attempt to grab first.  She's so serious sometimes.  And right now she insists on wearing pig tails or ponytails every day.  The only day I can talk her out of it is on Sundays, when she knows she "has to look her best for Jesus."

She had such a great time.  I was glad I was able to break away from Jack's group just in time to get to watch her and take some pictures.  It was a perfect day!

Jack did most of his craft by himself.

Jack loves a  game of bean bag toss.

He cheats just a little bit.

Duck Duck Goose (Rabbit Rabbit Bunny).

Waiting on the doorprizes to be given out.

Audrey was thrilled her name was drawn.  She won a kite.  No, we haven't gotten to fly it yet but I'm sure she'll remind us of it every single day until we do.

Watching the kids anticipate holidays like Easter is really what it is all about, when it comes to being a parent.  Finding candy-filled eggs, eating cookies, playing games, singing songs brings so much joy to the kids and I have such a good time watching them be so happy.  We went to our church's annual Family Fun Day where they had so many activities, plus they got to have their picture made with the Easter bunny.  Since the kids are in two different groups, I stayed with Jack while Audrey stayed with her friends Gracey and Madison and their moms.  I was able to break away from Jack's group so I could get some pictures of Audrey and watch her have fun hunting eggs, too.  Next year it will be a little easier because they will be in the same age group, Kindergarten thru 2nd grade (yes, it makes me sad to even say that Jack will be in Kindergarten).  From now until probably a week or two after Easter, we'll be hiding and finding eggs at home, their favorite thing to do right now.

80 Degree Temps in March

Excited to wear her new bathing suit

I believe this is the first time we have worn our bathing suits and shorts in March.  We enjoyed last week's temperatures and even got started on our suntan for this year.
