Going to Church

My kids are already getting to the age when they don't want to get up and get ready to go to church.  I do remember when I was a little girl thinking the same thing, only because I wanted to sleep in on the weekend.  It is probably because Jack hates to wear button-up shirts and "cold pants" as he calls it (he thinks all pants that aren't stretchy or sweatpants are cold on his skin).  Audrey moved up to the older class this year, so she gets mad because they don't have snacks like the Preschool room.  Of course, when I pick them up when church is over, they always are talking non-stop about how much fun they had, especially Audrey.  No matter how much they fuss and argue on Sunday morning, I will do everything I can to make sure we regularly attend church because church means all things most important in our lives.  Relationship with God and relationship with Christians.  I am not perfect, and I know my kids aren't either, but I will do my best to instill in them what my parents did for me.  Here is a picture from last Sunday when we were getting ready to go.  Aren't they precious?

Playing with Trains

I just love when the kids play so well together without all the fussing and fighting.

Now That Christmas is Over

Well, since Christmas is over, I am ready for summer.  No kidding.  We've had one snow day, that's enough for me.  Please, fast-forward to May so the hustle and bustle of school will be behind us and we can get on with the fun stuff!  You know, like playing out in the sprinkler, heading to Richmond or Georgetown to hit the waterparks, or maybe even go to the beach if we're lucky like last year.  I never want to wish our lives away, because I do know that time is going way too fast, but I really hate cold weather.  As much as I complain, I told Tony the other day that we really need to move further south!  Maybe the Carolinas, that's sounds just about right. But, I don't think the grandparents would be too keen on that idea.  But I promise you, when we retire, we're heading to the beach my friends.
