This weekend I finally got to go on my trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee with 3 of my very best friends, Angela, Cameron, and Susan. We have been friends since working at Fazoli's Corporate Office together, which makes it over 10 years now. We were in our early twenties when we met! It is so hard to believe time has flown by so quickly. We have all been through so much over the years, yet somehow we have remained friends. So, we decided it had been too long since we had been on a "girlie trip" as we like to call it, so back in June we started planning our 2009 Gatlinburg trip. Angela picked me up on her way from Huntington, then we met Cameron and Susan over at Susan's house. We left from there in Angela's comfy Endeavor and headed out. Our trip was awesome! Our cabin was amazing....it was huge, with a hot tub, beautiful decorations, two fireplaces, and the list goes on. I was so mad for forgetting my camera, but I took a few with my camera phone. We were kind of hoping to see a bear out our window, but that didn't happen. That's probably for the best, though. I think we all would have refused to go outside once we saw one that close. Anyhow, we had a wonderful time shopping, eating, and relaxing and now we can't wait to start planning our trip for 2010.

First day of Preschool

We have had a busy time here lately with Audrey starting Preschool and so many different activities going on. Audrey is doing so well to my surprise; I just knew she would cry when I took her to school, but she was such a big girl on her first day and hasn't looked back. I am amazed at all the new things she has learned in the last couple of months. It is hard to believe she will be 4 in just over three months. Jack is doing great, too; he and Audrey are so different, yet they do love eachother and entertain one another. Fighting is a constant thing right now; when Audrey is mad at me, she decides to go hit Jack, even though he may be in another room minding his own business. Little does Audrey know that one day Jack is going to haul off and lay into her, but I supposed she'll find that out on her own sooner or later. He already weighs almost as much as she does. Jack learns so many things from her (good and bad). I had been struggling with the decision on going back to work, but for now I am going to hold off (since the job market is so bad right now anyway) and stay at home as long as I can. I am very lucky to get to be able to do so.
