This weekend we went to Galinburg, TN to go watch our niece Lyndsey clog, and went to the aquarium. The kids were so good in the car on the way down and back, and behaved for the most part while we were there. Jack was getting over an ear infection, but he did just fine. We went with Tony's parents and met up with his brother and sister-in-law to watch Lyndsey clog. She did great in her competition. I was so proud of her! Audrey really enjoyed the aquarium (so did we) and Jack liked running around playing in the play area the most. Audrey's favorite thing was swimming in the indoor pool, so we did that twice while we were there. Saturday night when we were leaving the aquarium to go eat supper, it started pouring the rain just as we made it to our hotel. We had to wait a little while until it let up, and finally got something to eat at 9:30. We were all starved, but had a good dinner. We woke up Sunday to the cold pouring rain, so we just came on home. Overall it was a great trip.

If the Rain Will Ever End

Everyone around here is so sick and tired of the rain. Audrey & Jack cry to go outside and play sometimes, and I don't blame them. Today it has been a little sunny, but it is so muddy out back that I don't want to go out! I need to plant some flower seeds in the garden and do some other yard work, but looks like Sunday is the next day that it is not supposed to rain. Hopefully next week it will be better. Last Saturday, we celebrated John's birthday and the kids had a lot of fun. It was Derby Day and we watched the race on TV. Of course none of us had the winner.
