Sick Babies

Audrey "showing" Jack how to use his walker

The babies have been sick with a cold the past few days. Audrey has felt really bad, and ran a fever. They both now have a bad cough and stuffy noses. Neither have slept well the past couple of nights, but I think the worst is over. It is so hard seeing them sick, and there really isn't much you can give them for cough and sore throat.

My Smilin' Babies

Jack will smile at you as soon as you look at him and say a little something. He is going to be a big ham, I think. Audrey won't pose for pictures like she used to, but I got her to laugh for me this time. We will be planning her 2nd birthday party soon. I can't believe she has been with us for two years. Babies grow up so fast. I am looking forward to her party. I keep asking her what kind of cake she wants, and she looks at me and grins, but doesn't let me know which one. I give her choices of Elmo, Pooh, Big Bird, princesses, etc., but she likes all of them. She loves dessert, so she won't care what it looks like as long as she can eat it.

New Internet Service

We have finally upgraded to broadband internet, so I will be able to post more pictures more often. Here are the kids getting ready to go to bed the other night. Audrey has been having tantrums lately, since we have taken away her pacifier. Maybe she's starting her terrible two's early. Jack is eating more cereal now, and it won't be long before we start yellow veggies. Yum Yum!

Jack is Getting Big

Jack had his appointment Wednesday for his check-up and he weighs 16 pounds 4 ounces and is 26 1/2 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile for weight and 91st for height. I was surprised he was that long, because I kept thinking he was short! Here are pictures of our niece, Caitlan, who is almost 2 months old. She is so precious! The one of Jack is from last Sunday, when we got home from church. He was dedicated at church that day. We took Audrey's pacifier from her yesterday, but she is doing okay with it. I cut the ends off of the ones she had, and told her that they were broke and we had to give them to Sophie, our dog. She did okay until it was bedtime. She cried for a little while, but fell asleep after a few minutes. BUT, she woke up at 5:45 this morning screaming for it, and she did so for about an hour. I was able to finally get her back to sleep. Tonight she has done much better, and only asked for it a few times. She will be two next month, so I thought it was time to get rid of it. The doctor told me not to worry about it, but her face was getting chapped around her mouth, plus I didn't want her to get more dependent on it worse than she already was. She has been packing around her babydoll and sleeping with it instead. Soon we'll be potty-training, that will be fun!!

Here is Jack watching football with his Daddy, and Audrey at her Uncle Luke and Aunt Lesley's house.
