I have unsuccessfully tried to post something the past several weeks and the computer always messes up. So, we'll try it again. Jack will be 4 months old tomorrow, and Audrey is 22 months old. We had a really nice Christmas; of course, the kids got way too much, but it was fun. Audrey is sleeping much better now that she's gotten over the "trauma" of Jack's arrival. However, Jack screams when I put him in his bed. I have tried on several occasions to let him cry, but it is not worth it to me right now. We'll keep trying, though. Jack goes in for his checkup on Wednesday, so we will see just how much he weighs. I would say he's close to 18 pounds, believe it or not. He is going to pass up his big sis pretty quickly. I will post some more pictures of them taken yesterday, when I get the chance (Tony took the camera to the Bowl game with him today, so I can't download the pictures). Jack wore his Bengals jersey he got from Kevin and Ashley, before he was born, and I think it will show just how big he is. Christmas was nice this year, with all of the cousins getting together, and with the newest member of the family, cousin Caitlan. She is growing so quickly, too. Babies just grow up too fast. Hard to believe Audrey will be two in February. I will be 30 tomorrow! I hate the thought of it....

Jack and Audrey

Jack will soon be four weeks old. Time is just flying by. He is starting to smile some, and follows things with his eyes. He eats all time time, so I wouldn't be surprised if he already weighs 10 pounds. Audrey is doing good with him, except she wants to touch his face all the time. She even tried to pick him up this morning. Jack doesn't like to sleep in his bassinet, so I've had to put him in bed with me. I didn't want to do that, but I didn't have much of a choice.

Jack is Here!

Jack Tyler was born on 8/31/07 at 9:51 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds 9 oz. and was 19 1/2" long. He has lots of black hair, but looks more like his daddy than he does me. Audrey is doing good with him (so far) and wants to pat or kiss him all the time. I am doing fairly well, just a little sore. Here is a picture of Jack taken when we were getting ready to come home on Monday.

Countdown....

Well, only 3 days and Jack will be here! It is so hard to believe that we'll meet him this week. I can hardly wait. Here is a picture of Audrey kissing my big belly last night. I am so looking forward to her meeting her new baby brother.

Update on the Baby

I went to the doctor today and everything was fine. I had actually lost a pound, so I was glad of that! I go back next Thursday for my regular appointment, then on to the hospital for the pre-op. Then, Friday is the big day. We have to be there at 8am, and the c-section is at 9am. The nursery is all ready except for hanging the valance. Here is a picture of Audrey from where she had her pictures made last week.

Last Sunday Robin had a shower for Lesley and I, and we got a lot of nice things. I got everything washed and ready, so now all we need is the baby. I go to the doctor Thursday and I would say that will be my last trip before going to the hospital, other than the pre-op. It's hard to believe it's almost over, and that I won't ever be pregnant anymore! Audrey hasn't been sleeping well the past two weeks; I wonder if she senses something is going on, or is just going through a phase? Last night I had to let her cry herself to sleep. I have to get her back on her normal routine before Jack gets here, otherwise she'll be in the bed with me, plus Jack will be in the bassinet next to me, and none of us will get any rest. Only 10 days and he'll be here!

It's Too Hot!

I'm not sure whose idea it was to have a baby in the hot summer, but I wouldn't advise anyone to do it! I have been miserable and don't feel like doing anything. Today was not as bad, so Audrey and I went outside for a couple of hours and played in her pool. She really likes the water, so hopefully she'll be a good swimmer one day. I had a doctor's appointment Tuesday and everything is fine. August 31st can't come soon enough!

Audrey at the Fair

Tonight, I took Audrey and Bree to the big ol' Montgomery County Fair. I think they both had a fun time. Audrey rode the Merry Go Round and said "Wee!". Bree rode about every ride there.

Great Wolf Lodge, Dr. Appt...

Last Monday the 16th, Audrey, Mom, and I went up to Great Wolf Lodge near Kings Island for a couple of nights. Tony decided to stay home, since he's not in to water parks. We all had a good time. I got a pregnancy massage at their spa, and was able to lay on my stomach with a pregnancy pillow, so that was really nice. Audrey loved all of the pools and fountains. We took a little trip on the lazy river, but she mainly liked running in and out of the water and walking on the concrete. It will be a good place to go in a few years when the kids are bigger. I had my 34 week appointment on the 24th. Everything is going well, and the c-section is still on for August 31st, only 5 weeks away!

Audrey and 4th of July

Here is a picture of Audrey on the 4th. We went to a party at my friend's farm on Saturday the 30th, but on the 4th didn't do much since I was so tired and not feeling very good. I did put her in a little dress that seemed festive for the holiday, and we went over to her Mamaw & Papaw's to eat dinner, so I didn't have to cook that night. Audrey missed the fireworks since she goes to bed before dark. Maybe she'll see them next year.

We Have a Date!

The c-section has been scheduled for Friday, August 31st, at 9am, but we have to be there at 8am. We are so excited to have an actual date. And, the 31st is Tony's birthday! That will be Labor Day weekend. Everything is going fine and I go back in two weeks. The picture was taken today-I am 32 weeks, so only 7 weeks left!

Let's Try this Again

I started a blog several months ago, but didn't have enough time to keep it going. Plus, our internet was soooo slow that posting a picture took way too long. So, I'm going to try this again.
Being pregnant the second time around is about the same as the first. Luckily, this time I do not have gestational diabetes, so I don't have to worry with taking my blood sugar four times a day and watching my carbs and sugar intake so much. But, I am afraid that not watching what I eat as much is causing me to gain A LOT more weight than I did with Audrey. I'll just blame it on having a boy this time....haha. I am due September 6th, but the c-section will be scheduled about a week before he is due. So, it is possible that he will arrive on Tony's birthday, which is August 31st. That will be Labor Day weekend! I can't wait until baby Jack gets here; I just home Audrey accepts him when we bring this new baby home. It's not like she'll have a choice. She is a mommy's girl, so we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
I go to the doctor Tuesday the 10th, so I will post any new information then. Maybe we'll have an officially scheduled date for the c-section then.
The picture is from Audrey's first haircut a couple of weeks ago. She obviously did not have fun!
